After an energetic opening by the evening’s host, Chuck Lott, the start of the awards ceremony was graced with the kind words of Etophia Lane who said, “This wasn’t about getting them to come to the event, it was about sharing with others the efforts of living historic figures in the men’s fashion industry. These are the people who are not popularly talked about but make such a huge impact. People need to hear their bios. Their stories are amazing.” .The honorees included Jhanes Barnes, Fran Boller, David Chu, John Jones and Berny Martin.

As the awards ceremony wrapped up, guests including Stephen T. Byrd, April Jones of New Jersey City Fashion Week, Bravo TV’s Chantelle Fraser and Geneva S. John Acree solemnly closed the night with a presentation of his collection from IMPACT University IMU. Acree said, “This was an historical moment in my life where I was able to showcase me helping the homeless and helping victims of hardships through fashion.” Aside from the obvious allure of the fashion industry, it is even better with those involved in positive social responsibility efforts such as Acree.

Guests were treated to gifts and treats by the event’s sponsors Miss Jessie’s, Spadet, Elevee, PRZMAN, and Fortune V Water.
