So my right hand “man” turned 30 this week! For her 30th birthday, @TahirahMu chose to have an Alice In Wonderland themed dinner. Tahirah dressed as the Red Queen aka Queen of Hearts.
Tahirah was definitely the best Red Queen I’ve ever saw! So, I chose the next best thing, the White Queen.
In the newest Alice in Wonderland depiction, Anne Hathaway plays The White Queen. White hair, white dress, white skin, white pearls, just plain ol’ white! Since Tahirah advised us to put our own spin on our character outfits, I did exactly that. Costumes weren’t mandatory so I opted for an all white outfit with sneakers, of course. Check out the pics below.
For my “costume” I paired a white satin dress from Missguided, with a scrunched sheer shirt from Rainbow. Initially I was suppose to wear another dress, the dress didn’t ship on time so I had to improvise. I didn’t want to wear the Missguided dress because it was purchased for a trip to Miami, which means it was super revealing. So that I could feel comfortable, I went on the hunt for a white sheer shirt to wear under the dress. Rainbow was my last resort and Rainbow delivered exactly what I needed to complete my outfit. To dress the outfit down I paired the dress with white converse. (Click the links for a similar look, the original Missguided dress is sold out.)
Tahirah’s dinner was by far one of the best I’ve been to. I love any reason to dress up and feel sexy, especially after giving birth almost three months ago! What do you guys think of the look?
