We’re on our way go spreading our purpose in places other than our birthplace of Philadelphia. For this addition of the STAT Meet Up, we took our stories to Brooklyn, Ny, Flatbush to be exact. I chose Brooklyn because New York is where I came into myself as a fashion professional. In the earlier years of my fashion career, I stayed in Brooklyn with my partner, Tahirah, and grew a love for the borough.
Brooklyn is home to some of the most creative people that I know. Stylist, entertainers, creative directors, writers, rappers, some of the best were birthed in BK. Because of its rich history, what better place to build a empowerment relationship with than Brooklyn. This time around we’ve joined forces with a couple of Brooklynites and a couple of women from the Philadelphia area to tell their stories.

Each woman shared their unique success stories, triumphs and trials, in order to connect and empower the next woman. Held at Sip Unwine, the Meet Up was hosted in the garden, surrounded by sky lights and beautiful murals, the scenery made the event that much more special for us.
