Designer Katherine Tramposh started her own brand after finding herself disappointed with the fashion industry. She began researching the standards for organic and fair trade clothing and used living abroad as inspiration to map out what her ideal world would look like. Her latest collection is a celebration of what a woman embodies, from sexuality down to divinity. She uses gothic cultures and darkness to derive healing and show the power of feminism.
Using organic silk from India, organic wool from Mongolia, eco leather from Germany, and bamboo silk from England, Kate’s latest collection dominated the runway proving that it’s possible to be both fashionable and conscious of the environment. During a brief interaction with the designer, Styled to A Tea asked what her brand represented and she replied saying “The other side of eco fashion where women can be whoever they chose to.”
With her models adorned in bejeweled masks and clothed in hues of blue, black, nude and purple, it wasn’t hard for her designs to rip the runway; proving that there is more than one way to make a fashion statement.
