As a mother it’s important to maintain your self image & maintain your sexy the best way that you know how. For me, I’ve never been a show it all woman. I’m very modest; I wear oversized clothes, but I’ll add a pair of heels to make an outfit more feminine. For our shower, I wanted to wear something that celebrated my pregnant body, but I also had to be mindful of the aches and pains that I endure daily.

This ASOS dress featured a mermaid design with iridescent sequin and floral embroidered accents. The dress was originally priced at $119, but it is now on sale at ASOS for $95. Purchase yours here! The maternity version of this dress is currently sold out.

Here’s how I wore this embroidered fishtail dress:

During the last trimester of pregnancy, I suffer from sciatica, which is a condition that occurs when your baby puts its weight against your sciatic nerve causing your lower body to spas. At any moment the baby can press on my sciatic nerve sending a spasm from my lower back down my leg. So, as much as I wanted to wear nude heels with my #babyshower dress, I had to be mindful of my body and opt for sneakers instead.

(Shai wasn’t feeling all of the pictures at all. Zelly and I were both done with him! Lol)

I styled both of the children (no I do not dress Regg)! Lol! Shai is wearing a #Zara minion utility jacket, mustard Zara jeans, and a multicolored Target T-Shirt with #airforce1.

Zelly is wearing a #Zarakids ruffled T-shirt w/ a H&M embroidered utility jacket, pink #primark jeans & #airforce1. She originally had mustard jeans as well, but they were a bit big. The pink worked well with our coordination, although I was unable to get a picture of her by herself!

Regg is wearing a mustard jean jacket from Nordstrom, a mandarin collar shirt from ASOS, patchwork distressed denim from ASOS, and Nike Air Force 1’s.

What did you wear to your baby shower?
