#ITSLIT, the hashtag used to for “The Freak Show” fashion show, and the event was just that. Fashion show is an understatement, the pre Halloween fashion estravaganza took place on Saturday, 10.10.15, at Philadelphia’s Red Cedar Studios. A picture studio turned mad house, Red Cedar Studios was filled with the best in Philadelphia fashion & entertainment for a night of theatrical catwalking.
Following the success of Amber Rose and Blac Chyna’s VMA outfits, Iris Bonner and Brittany Deshields were in high demand. The ladies made a huge impact on the world by devising outfits stamped with all of the shameful slurs that the media often uses to describe Chyna & Amber. With the success of Amber Rose’s Slut Walk campaign, and the support it has recieved from the LGBT community, there was no question that the designers would receive the media attention that it has. So in return, these Philadelphia based ladies created the Barbeebdes collection.
Black lights, lounge chairs, and hennessy, The Freak Show was the only place to be last saturday. The designs were even better in person, putting me in the mind of Beyonce’s song “Grown Woman,” the runway show signified P***y Power! We here at StyledtoaTEA are always down for a night of women empowerment! With such an artistic city, we are proud to say that the ladies and their production did an amazing job devising such a huge event.
