Cool girl chic is a concept we may have to adopt more in the next coming seasons. Shateria Moragne-El debuted her Spring Summer 2016 collection entitled row A seat 3, which effortlessly harmonized a cool edge and masculine aesthetic without drowning out the elegance of the feminine form. Additionally, “frontrow has truly defined the tomboy chic aesthetic in its designs, blended with her personal inspiration of dance and music.”
Moragne-El featured details familar to those aware of her line. Leather, straight lines, structured silhouettes, sheer, distressed denim, oversized, and a muted color palette adorned the models. The collection entailed simplistic, yet sophisticated pieces balanced with ‘Raise the bar’ aesthetic. Furthermore, “Made for the style maven who carries the same high standard for carefully constructed leather as she does perfectly fitted denim.”
The hip wordliness of the tone of the collection was set before the start of the show. As onlookers enjoyed treats by Whimsicle and specialty drinks by D’USSÉ, cult classic, Belly, played on a projector as Dj Kyndal DePass provided the background noise. Every detail of style, out of the box grown, and sexy was evident from the venue at Highline Loft to the now coveted hair and make-up of the models. Actually, we may want to give top knots and gold gilded eyebrows a try. Although it has been three years since Moragne-EL first debuted frontrow, we are looking forward to what she has in store for the upsoming seasons.
