A friend of mine invited me and a few friends to a conference covering business and wealth management. Being that I was a HR major for three and a half years, I could not pass up the opportunity to be enlightened!
Since the date was December 4th, it was only right that we made a run to Brooklyn, Jay Z’s birth place!
OOTD Friend Edition:
(Myself: Pictured wearing, H&M Faux Leather Moto Jacket| Urban Outfitters sleeveless Blazer Vest| Urban Outfitters patchwork sheer button down| Forever 21 Faux Leather Tights & Forever 21 black Suede Booties)
(Lisa: Designer and seamstress wearing custom pieces from her clothing line Gangsta Turtles. Her skirt was designed and made the night before our new york trip, talk about talent! Lisa tells Styled to a Tea that one of her reasons behind becoming a seamstress was that she couldn’t find clothes in her size.
Being that Lisa is very petite, she was forced to make clothing taylored to her small frame, “children’s clothing is too short and juniors clothing is way too big, so I had to make everything that I wear”.
View Lisa custom pieces by visiting her instagram, she also specializes in custom made bookbags and duffle bags!)
(Diana: Fouder of Lecksi’s Unedible Cakes, seen above wearing a business casual ensemble. Diana’s super trendy Steve Madden camel colored handbag acted as the perfect accessory for her neutral colored outfit. Diana’s outfit transitioned well into the Manhattan nightlife. By removing the jacket, and revealing her classic white satin button down, Diana quickly transitioned into a Nyc party goer! Visit Diana’s instagram for information on her products, Diana specializes in spa gifts sets made into Unedible Cakes! Check it out!)
(Ciana: Event planner and Socialite, this social butterfly seen above is wearing an ensemble from Forever 21. Ciana paired old and new pieces from her wardrobe, and kept the fashion simple by wearing black and white. Ciana accented her outfit of the day with a pair of funky, black leather, gold plated, wedge heels. Being that Ciana works at one of the most exclusive restaurants in Philadelphia her wardrobe is predominantly black! Cici keeps her outfits trendy by wearing different forms of black such as, lace & sheer. Visit Ciana’s instagram here!)
I cannot wait until I am officially a New Yorker. Aside from the endless fashion that can be seen dashing down the streets, the opportunities are endless in New York City. Until next time, stay Styled to A Tea.
